Parish Boundaries and Parish Setting

Beginning at the junction of Dashwood Road and Old Road West, the boundary passes along the middle of Old Road West to the municipal boundary between Northfleet and Gravesend , at the top of Victoria Road. The boundary then passes North along the Northfleet/Gravesend boundary to meet the North Kent Railway Line, continuing West along the Railway Line to the centre of the Railway Bridge over Thames Way. The boundary follows the Thames Way, across Vale Road then passes along the North West side of Waterdales, (along the site of the old Southfleet Railway Line), to meet a line extended along the centre of Mitchell Avenue (No’s 151 and 152 Waterdales are within the boundary area). The boundary then passes along the centre of Mitchell Avenue to Hall Road, along Hall Road and Painters Ash Lane to Watling Street , along Watling Street to the junction with Wrotham Road.  The boundary then follows Wrotham Road to a point by “The Bungalow”, passing West to meet Coldharbour Road , then along New House Lane and Dashwood Road to meet Old Road West.
The parish of All Saints, Perry Street is within the borough of Gravesham. The population of Gravesham is estimated to be around 90,000, with approximately 24,000 living within the parish. There is a wide range of housing styles within the parish including some small terraced houses, council housing, and some larger private houses. Due to the closure of large industries within the area, the parish has, and still does, experience high rates of unemployment. A large amount of the population works in retail or service industries.
 
There are 5 schools within the parish – 2 secondary schools each holding 1200 pupils, and 3 primary schools each holding 400 pupils. There are 2 nursing homes within the parish, and right on the parish border, is a hospice. The parish is described as urban/suburban.
