The OrganOrgan
![]() We have a marvellous instrument here at All Saints' which is well suited to the building and to our style worship. It is a two manual organ, originally built by Ingram in 1877 and enlarged by the organ builder Brian H. Bunting in 1968.
The organ is used to accompany for all sung parts of the service, although during communion the organ may be substituted for the piano.
Organ Repair Fund
The organ is in need of a major over haul and quite a bit of repair work done to it. The organ has not been neglected, but time takes it's toll on all things. So a provisional work date has been set for the Autumn of 2009, but, funds are needed in order for the work to be carried out. So all forms of donations to the fund would be greatly welcomed!
Also, there are Special Organ Repair Fund boxes available at the back of Church for any loose change you may have. These may then be returned (gift aided where possible) on the first Sunday of each month; and another box taken to carry on saving coins for the same purpose.
If you have any questions or queries about the the repair work and costs, please do direct them to Joe Castle (Director of Music and Organist in Residence), who would be happy to answer any questions.
